SCBWI HOLIDAY READER STAGE
Thanks to our friends at the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, we'll have readers throughout the Festival at Mesa's Christmas Tree, a 30' tall Christmas tree that is the centerpiece of Mesa's annual holiday celebration, just for kids. Schedule TBA.

She spent years teaming up with her rescue dog Jamie to assist children in reading therapy. This fueled her passion for children’s literacy and her Blueberry Bear series. SILVERBROOK IMAGES (Represented by Sheryl Brooks)- My husband, Joe Brooks, and I co-published a book of inspirational poetry and photography entitled, The Restorative Power of Spirit: Poems of Faith and Hope. In addition, we have framed and unframed prints, including a collection featuring the images from our book, along with handcrafted greeting cards, and embellished gift items. J. F. Castillo- For more than ten years, I have been a writer. Over that time, I have written a five part young adult fantasy adventure series, and two mature dark fantasy novels that are the beginning of a trilogy and another five part series. I also occasionally write poems and dabble in painting and sculpture. I have previously attended the Mesa Book Festival, Tuscon Festival of Books, and Phoenix Comic Fest (aka. Phoenix ComiCon, aka. I wanted to write a fun children's book so they might understand a little about what goes on there before they visit their Grandma's and Grandpa's. I live in Avondale with my rescued Shih Tzu, Rio, and volunteer at a local animal shelter.
ChiWow Media LLC- We are the co-founders of ChiWow Media, Rick and Donna Wylie. I write the poems, Rick adds the graphics that bring them to life. Our goal is to make the world a little kinder, happier, and more hopeful. [WEB]

Suzy Jacobson Cherry- Suzy Jacobson Cherry writes in a variety of genre. Her work has appeared in collections, newspapers, newsletters, magazines, and broadsides in Massachusetts, South Dakota, Arizona, and Texas as well as on websites across the globe. Her first published piece, when she was fifteen, was a poem in the genre now called "fan fiction" about Tolkien's characters Arwen and Aragorn. Suzy's prize winning poem "Glaciers" appeared in the 1983 edition of American Collegiate Poets. [WEB]

Sharon Skinner- Sharon holds a GPC, a BA in English, an MA in Creative Writing, and a poetic license. Her work has been published in a number of local, national and international publications. She previously served for eight years as the Executive Editor of Anthology magazine, a small press literary magazine published in Mesa, Arizona. Sharon is an active member of SCBWI (Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators) and serves as the Regional Advisor for SCBWI AZ. [WEB]
